Today's News

John McCain received another endorsement today, this time from New Hampshire's Salmon Press. Here is a short excerpt from their endorsement:
Sen. McCain is a man of great depth and character. He has demonstrated an enormous capacity for growth over his political career and his military record is truly heroic - in stark contrast to those of his opponents. As a congressman and senator from Arizona he has exhibited the ability to attract both sides of the political aisle. And yet he is a conservative in the best sense of the word: principled, unwilling to cave for political gain and an unbowed enemy of wasteful spending. His experience in foreign affairs and in military issues is unmatched in the field.

Missing Week Round-Up

Apologies for the lack of updates, that trip created quite a back-log for me and I finally have time to refocus online.

Quite a number of endorsements recently, including that of Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling and the New Hampshire Union Leader. The last is quite big, as the UL is the only state-wide newspaper.

John McCain also recently discussed US energy policy. This was capped by his energy strategy for America, in a speech he gave yesterday.

John also continues to poll best against all Democratic contenders, especially those most like to win, Clinton and Obama. I must admit, I still don't understand why so many Republicans support Rudy for reasons of "electability", when there is just no evidence to support it.
