A Big Thank You

I wanted to take the time to thank everyone here in SLO county before I go into the ramifications of yesterday's vote.

I want to thank Christina Chiappe and the other Cal Poly College Republicans. They were very receptive and welcoming when I visited them a few weeks back explaining why I support John McCain and why they should as well. I look forward to working with them in the general election.

Ted Peterson was a local volunteer who signed on early, and made well over 500 phone calls on behalf of John McCain, making him a phone bank unto himself. His eagerness to help was inspirational, and we appreciate his efforts.

Sue Pruner is another SLO county native worthy of thanks. Sue also made a lot of phone calls on behalf of the Senator. Moreover, her determination led her to drudge up new facts for us from the depths of the internet, something we greatly appreciated. Thanks Sue.

Donna Jordan was the Central Coast co-Chair for McCain, and was the glue that held us all together in these long months. Like me, she was a relative newcomer to the field of campaign politics, but she came through for us and then some. I could go on and on about all the ways she helped us out and how critical her efforts were, but that post would blur your eyes to read. Instead, I want to thank Donna for all the effort she put into this.

Rob Bryn was the Central Coast co-Chair for McCain2008. That title really doesn't explain nearly enough. Rob helped keep the campaign going here in the state during the dark days months back, and kept us going with no money, no resources, no nothing. Every step of the way he helped out with contacts and advice. Thank you just isn't enough.

To those I forgot, I am terribly sorry. The last couple of days have scrambled my mind. Please forgive me while I try and remember and include you too.
